I want to shoutout Jorge and the entire Tulum staff as well as the manager, Daniela Dominguez. They made what had been a interesting trip satisfying! The room was great, when I needed if something taken care of it was done pronto. When I had an issue with my bill Daniela corrected it and made sure I was all set. Now as for the staff at Tulum, words cannot express how great they were!!!! I mean everyone was spectacular and made each visit to the restaurant one to remember! They all deserve kudos and raises! If there was a downfall, it is the nightlife in and around the hotel where you constantly hear cars revving their engines and speeding off from the light. Outside of that they stay was superb!

Absolutely horrendous hotel. The service is NOT 5 stars. You're lucky if there's one person working at the front desk. The rooms are so shabby and dirty. The walls are incredibly thin. The staff are not attentive at all... I'm shocked this is considered a 5-star hotel... absolutely horrified. They charged me twice for 1 stay. I called to fix this and the person over the phone 1) was unable to understand any of my questions, and 2) was not able to transfer me to a colleague to speak to because he was the only person working (7/26 at 9:20pm).

Disappointing, Outdated, very Loud and Misleading — Not Worth Five-Star Pricing My stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing and far from what one would expect from a five-star property. Based on both the condition of the room and the quality of service, the experience felt misleading and did not align with the hotel’s branding or pricing. As shown clearly in the photos, the room was noticeably dirty and poorly maintained. Surfaces, lampshades, and fixtures showed visible stains and wear, giving the impression of long-term neglect rather than normal use. The overall interior design feels extremely outdated, with decor resembling an old Chinese-style aesthetic from decades ago, paired with old-fashioned lamps—some of which did not function properly and were never replaced. Window is not sound proof! Very noisy The heavy use of mirrors around the room created an unsettling, dated atmosphere, more reminiscent of the 1960s than a modern luxury hotel. The flooring is cold tile throughout; when the air conditioning is left on, it becomes extremely uncomfortable to walk on barefoot—hardly suitable for a premium hotel experience.
